A friend of mine mentioned that she wants her young daughter to weave on a simple cardboard loom the way she did as a child.

Harrisville Lap Loom, in the original box, was half-hidden on the floor under a clothes rack at the thrift store, complete except for shuttle and yarn. Four dollars. Retail, new, fifty dollars.
So, not only a pretty good find, but a timely one.
